A definite paradigm shift in my life...

mood: calm
music: Garbage - "When I Grow Up"
Alright, so as a few more weeks have slipped by, I feel the need to vent a few things for either nostalgia or therapeutic reasons. Its certainly been quite a busy few weeks and a lot of positive things have been coming about, as well as some not so good things. We'll lets jump right in:

So I might as well start with Triton, since that has taken over my life for the most part recently. The season has been absolutely fantastic, and the kids have had an incredibly close call to having an undefeated season. The was one exceptional show where we got beat by Highland, but when Billy Saccamano came over to me and said how much he liked Triton and how he didn't agree with us losing was, it meant a lot. For the last 2 marching band seasons I've been at Triton, his opinion was always one that was able to help me elevate the show of that year and make it really excel. He's been a great advisor to me starting out my teaching career, and it meant a lot for him to say that after the show.

So that was our one bump in the road, and heading into ACC's I'm unsure of what to think. We haven't really competed against any of our major competition all season long, so I really can no predict anything at this point. My goal is for them to be top 3, which has been my consistent goal for the past two years. With the performances these kids have been giving up lately, I am hoping it will truly put them among the best color guards of this season. After this, its diving head on into INDOOR SEASON!!!!!

So that brings me to a slightly more negative aspect of my entry, and that is BW. Not so much negative, but I don't feel that is all that great of news at least. I'm not sure I am going to be able to march, and its pretty much from a $$ perspective. Andy and I have been able to get by at a rather decent level as of late, but after considering a lot of options, I'm not sure marching would be the wisest idea, especially when I have a house on the line. I will still be going to the next practice and all, but I really know that between higher dues the Tampa trip, etc, I'm not sure I can make this work. I also do not want to be one of those people who just doesn't pay and makes it worse for everyone else. I had my troubles in 05, they've been resolved, I don't want to go through that again. So we will see what will happen here in the next few weeks.

So that brings me to the house. The biggest thing here is that once I sign over the deed in my name, I will be needing to the get a Home Equity loan to fix up some things going on in the house. I'm looking at a $50,000 loan to cover a number of expenses like paying off my car loan, paying off student loans from UD, paying off my credit cards, buying a new kitchen, etc. Most likely my best investment out of all of this will be a Disney Vacation Club purchase which I've been eyeing up since I went there in May. There's a ton of details involved with this so if you want more info, let me know, but I'm not going to go into it here. All I know is its somewhere around $15,000 and its good for 40 yrs or so. So all in all, this Home Equity Loan is going to be my biggest financial concern in the next few months.

So now for some random stuff. Halloween has come and gone, and proved to be a good time. Andy and I did our typical Haunted House on Halloween night, and then followed it up by some scary movies the rest of the night. Being the start of my favorite time of year, it was quite enjoyable thus far. Next up is the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, which I am sure won't be incredibly special. I'm sure it will be dinner at the parents and then some Black Friday shopping. Heading into the X-Mas season is always a great time of year. I've already had tos tart compiling my x-mas list and can not wait to go to the malls to be completely surrounded by the atmosphere.

I recently opened a new checking account with Citizens Bank over my consistent dislike of Wachovia over the past 2 years. I am in the process of switching everything over, and as much of a pain in the ass it is, it will be worth it when I'm not getting stupid $2 service charges to use ATM's and other annoying aspects plaguing my everyday life. Plus the 2% interest rate on my savings account is a pretty sweet deal. Looks like I may go through Citizens to get my Home Equity Loan. More benefits and all.

I haven't really mentioned work yet. Well there's not much to say. Things are quiet on this front. Much deservedly calmer than in earlier times, so I am even happier with the department switch.

One great thing I will say has been happening as of late is a growing increase in my sociability. Chase came over like 2 weeks ago and it was quite a fantastic time with some dinner and guard videos! Laura DeFalco (Triton Band Parent)came over bearing some tea supplies as housewarming presents, which was quite wonderful. Then Chase came over again for a viewing of "She's The Man" and a hilarious night at that! Then there's been quite a number of dinners out with the Triton band staff and band parents over the past few weeks, as well as a great dinner at Pizzeria Uno last week for our first indoor meeting! Its quite a turn around from the more solitary life I've had since I stopped marching. Another reason I'm wary of not marching BW.

Also, I've been a member at Bally's for the past few weeks and that is going well. I have a personal training session tomorrow night, and have been doing well with getting back into more cardio and such. The gym plan at the beginning of the year didn't work, mostly because of cost, but Bally's has an awesome plan that fits right into my finances! I'm quite excited about this and its been a great time thus far going there! My main goal is to lose the fat I've still got and to lose about 15 pounds. I am aiming to be back in the shape I was in back during the "Martha Graham" show in BW 2004, if not better.

Random: How excited am I that the Chapter 1 banquet this year is at Adelphia's in Deptford! Woo!!!!! No hour drive to Galloway this year!!

Random #2: Marielle will be down from UMASS in a weekend or two! We are definitely going to get together! I'm feeling another NYC trip soon too!

OK well I think I must be done for today. Personal Training appt tomorrow, Temple rehearsal with Triton on Thursday, Friday night off thank god, Saturday rehearsal, Sunday is ACC's! Busy week coming up! See everyone on the mountain top!

God I suck at this...
01:43am 07/10/2006

mood: nostalgic
music: "The Shining" on in the background...
Ok so its now common knowledge that I am unable to give a periodic update on my life. I am saddened at the fact I am unable to do this most often, and I do blame the paranoid IT department at my work for my suffering. Ok, i'm acting like I just survived the holocaust when really i just haven't updated much in the past months.

Anyway, some happy thoughts first. i recently bought my 01 & 02 Surf tour videos. oh what glorious memories! 01 was always sorta fuzzy to me, since i had no idea what was going on my first year. All i knew is I was at a place where I had to do an angle toss for the first time, and a shit load of lower body, and there was this guy named Joe with bleach blonde hair who wrote everything that I found to be extremely hard. That summer was a huge turning point for me. I also loved the candid shot of our warm up in Buffalo where the wind was so bad, that I just let me flag toss hit the ground and don't even attempt to catch it. God Buffalo was the worst environment to ever spin in i think.

Then it was on to the 02 video which i remember more fondly. I actually knew people in other sections names, i didn't suck nearly as much, and a lot of my friendships grew that summer that would stay with me until this very day and beyond. 02 was such a great summer...i wouldn't have traded a medal for how much fun I had. Whatever place we got was fine...

Anyway, enough being nostalgic. Loved the tour videos, love the memories.

So onto recent events, Triton is going well. We finished drill last night, and now its up to me to clean up the transitional mess that is the show. Work is going fine, OT is back and I am much more satisfied. The house is more behind than anything right now. If we are to be housing people during the winter, we need to get the spare room going and soon!!

Halloween is around the corner and I couldn't be more exicted. I love Halloween, another nostalgic thing I suppose but it is my favorite holiday. We've taken to decorating the house up a bit, and I love the fall atmosphere.

By my house they have recently added in a drive thru Starbucks and a Panera Bread. I really must restrain myself or else I will be going broke!

Oh and I guess I'll touch on this here. I'm marching BW this winter. Very unexpectedly of me to do so, but i ifgured one last shot with it. Auditions went well, and Joe gave me a sabre spot and the guard is shaping up great so far! Now we need to see who from the last 11 will get the last spot in the show!! I want a guard roster already dammit! =)

Hm, what else for my scatter-brained entry. I've been playing more N64 lately. NOw i know some people will say "ew video games, how geeky" but i could give a shit. I haven't really played for like 3 yrs and now that i've set it up in the living room i've resparked my interest. I have been playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time lately, and I forgot how awe inspriing that game is.

OK so before i go off on any more nostalgic rants tonight, i'll put this thing to rest. Ihave laundry to do and some other things before leaving for the Clearview competition tomorrow morning.

Happy fall everyone!

What a few months its been!!!
11:07am 23/07/2006

mood: chipper
music: Jefferson Airplane - "White Rabbit"
OK SOOO long ago was my last entry, and now I feel that I need to update for once this season and get some pent up thoughts out. Mostly good things but there is always something....

So we'll start with Triton of all things! Marching Season started off well. We had lost 6 seniors from an indoor guard of 12, and lost one more to tha band. Honestly I was not looking forward to the day that happened, but life has its ways of throwing curve balls at you. After recruitment efforts, we ended up getting 7 new people!! WOO HOO!!! And a bonus, we now have two boys!! First ones since Sam was in the color guard so many years ago. So we are back at 12 for the marching season, with 13 or more hopefully going into indoor. I'm soooo glad Tritons program is finally starting to regain speed afterm losing people and not picking up much speed for a few years! FOr our field show we are doing a Copland fiesta of sorts. A whole AMericana/pioneer type show and I'll say the music is ok for what i've heard so far. We'll be starting drill come Tuesday so we'll see how things start to progress from there.

Oh and ust a quick PS - we have a new tech working with us at Triton this year. Her name is Sarah and she just graduated from Timber Creek! Great to have a 3rd set of eyes with so many new people!!

Hm, work should come next. Well this is quite the situation if any. I had made a pact to myself that if we didn't get bonuses this year i'd start looking elsewhere in the industry. Well July was supposed to be the date and nothing has happened as of yet except a few corporate e-mails saying they are "working it out". Bitches I better get something, esp with the way they cut back everyone's over time, layed off oh say 50 people, and have a huge increase in loan volume! Yea they cut back on everyones overtime so we no longer can work ot unless absolutely necessary. It sucks cause i've had that opportunity wince I started there but no more. We'll see how this pans out...now bonus by next week, i'm gonna see if Wells Fargo is hiring...

But there is always an upside to things. My department was recently relocated within the company and I now work in the Post CLosing area rather than Servicing. SO that means I get a new manager!! My new bosses name is Monica and she has been pretty great thus far!!! My new desk location lacks a window, but is much more quieter than the old customer service area I was in. SO all in all, a decent of an improvement.

Hm, the house should be next. Well the living room is fully done. Note sure if I mentioned that beofre. i'd try and post a picture here but I'm not sure if my LJ savyyness is still up to par. Next starting painting the old kitchenette and am turning it into a big walk-through closet (on the way to the master bedroom). After that will convert my Aunt's old room into and office/guest bedroom/colorguard room. Yard has been working alright, hard to keep up with all the time.

Now onto special/current events!!!

May
~Triton was Chapter 1 SA Champions and we recieved a silver medal in SA in WIldwood!!! What a great year it was!!! NOw just what will next year be like!?
~Left for Disney World with my parents, ANdy and I the day after Wildwood. The trip was fantastic!!! I could probably do a whole separate entry on it if the details are still clear to me. Maybe later, but nI can say I did not want to leave! our stay at the Caribbean Beach resort was fantastic!!! And Expedition Everest was AMAZING!!!
~IN the month of May I saw the DaVinci Code, and X3.
~Memorial Day bash at Becca's was the best! Great time had by all!!

June
~Triton Band Banquet went well...the girls got me and ANdy a iTrip for our end of season gift! AMAZING!!! I so didn't even want to ask how much that was!!!
~In the month of June I saw The Omen, Nacho Libre, Superman Returns and maybe another but I can't remember...
~Diana's birthday was held at the Tropicana in Atlantic City! Great time that night with never ending Midori Sours and some great gambling!! LOVED IT! Well that is until we left and were told by the parking attendant that there was murder right outside the casino....FUN!
~Andy had his 24th Birthday Luau here at the house. I wish I could have enjoyed it more, but I was soooo very busy with throwing the party, making smoothies for everyone, and cooking up the food that I missed out on most of it! Great night though...

July
~Went to the first Allentown show on July 1st. THe show was alright...I am not liking some shows this year!!!! Fave of the night was Carolina Crown...def got to see what I missed by not going there for my age out, meh, all is well though. Got to see Mare & Kristen in XMen, Lindsey and Erin in PR, and Addison Crown. Saw a ton of other people after the show too which was great!!!
~So far all I've seen this month was Pirates of the Caribbean 2 which I thought was a great movie! Def entertaining, but I do NOT want to see any pirate shows this indoor! UGH!!!!
~ON SUnday the 16th my parents, ANdy and I went into Philly to see Cirque du Soleil: Quidam. Great show, but was sort of wierd without having Marielle to see it, since that's all we've been planning since 2002. Well I hope she's enjoying tour!

So that brings us to now. Yep another long winded update from good old me! I wish I could say i'd update more, but probably won't without the consistant internet at work. Well as for things up and coming, we'll be at both nights of ALlentown including a trip to Dorney Park on Satruday and then Band Camp mis-August.

Ok so i'll cut myself off before this gets any longer! Much love to everyone!!! You'll hear from me in the fall most likely haha. Lata....

Back, and only 4 months later....
04:03am 08/04/2006

mood: sick
music: Fiona Apple - "Extraordinary Machine"
Hey everyone,

Well I am at home sick today so I figured I would do an update! Haven't done one since the beginning of the year and oh so much has happened! I'll keep it as short as possible.

Sooooo let start with Triton! THings have been up and down all season. Power Regional went well, the judges favored us in Movement (We were 6th overall in mvmt), and got some great comments from a lot of people I knew there. THe month of march was rather blah, and April has started off well. I'm hoping we can keep this momentum throuh the rest of the season.

Next, hm how about the house! Well my aunt finally moved out in mid February. Since then we have redone the living room (painted and bought new furniture) and started on other little things in the house. Its coming along but there's a lot of work to be done. ONce we figure out a housewarming date, I'll be sure to let everyone know!

Next, um work? Yea sure, well its just kinda there. Nothing special. The promotion I was going for is still on hold since the company's financial situation is not well, but we'll see. I did get a normal raise though after my annual review! That was well needed! Other than that, nothing else is going on there.

WHat else....Hm, well the countdown until the Disney vacation is underway! I paid off the trip like 2 weeks ago, and now I wait! 32 more days or something like that, pretty much I'm leaving the day after WIldwood. Looking forward to that!!!

What else is in the news. Hm, well Becca just turned 22 and ANdy and I took her to Red Lobster to celebrate. Um, our cat Evy is doing well. She will be getting spayed in May (iknow you all just needed to know that!). It was great to hang out with Steph and LT at the Power Regional! I miss BW a lot and am thinking of marching next season. Just as long as I can figure out everything else in my life.

ALright I guess thats all. I'll be home the rest of the day until i go to Triton. Later!

Happy 2006!!
11:11pm 09/01/2006

mood: pensive
music: Sheryl Crow - "If It Makes You Happy"
So i know i'm a bit behind in wishing everyone a happy new year, but I think i texted half of north america at midnight, so that counts! Anyway, quick update on how things are going:

Work: Crap, no promotion as of yet. In fact no notice of it at all! I'm starting to get incrediably bored in position and am looking elsewhere now! Of course, if my promotion goes thru, i'll take that first.

Home: Well the X-mas decor has started to come down. How sad....but we rearranged the room a bit and did some changes to the upstairs and kitchen and BAM! It looks like its starting to enter the 21st century. Other than that, not much til the dog dies.........yes, its still alive.......who would have thought a 13 yr old dog with a tumor the size of Utah would have lasted this long.

Triton: Things are progressing well here. We are ahead of the game more so than last year (thank god). Floor has been fully painted, uni's are coming in about a week, props are in stage 2 of production, all necessary items ordered! Now its just up to finishing what we will have for the first show, and then kicking it into overdrive for the Power Regional! Things are looking up though, first show will be fun to just get it out there, and i'm liking how the design is coming along overall.

X-mas review:
Gift card to Target
Gift Card to Cinemark Theaters
$$$$
Blue Thermal shirt and pajama pants
The Simpsons Season 7
Pics from WGI '05, fully framed
This cute racoon pillow
"The Wonderful World of Disney" book
The Complete Works of WIlliam Shakespeare

So not the most lucrative x-mas, but I certainly got more out of giving this year. Esp when i gave my aprents the DIsney DVD and told them to plan a vacation and i'd pay for it. That was nice seeing them suprised. No one really gets to do stuff for them like that, so i'm glad i'm starting. They also enjoyed:

Mom - DVD Player, and X-mas CLassics on DVD
Dad - $60 gift card to J Crew
Andy - Aeon Flux DVD set, Eregon/Eldest Book set, 1999 DCI Championship videos, 2001 DCI Championship videos, aaaaaaand I thought tehre was soemthing else in there but it slips my mind.

So onto New Years:

New Years Eve this year was fun. I went out to Casey's house, to a party in which Becca was hosting. Had a blast counting down til midnight with everyone and playing cards throughout the night. Drank cheap champagne at midnight and you can't get any more stereotypical new years than that! So here's me giving it up to be a better year in 2006!

My resolution this year, is to not make any official resolutions. Basically because I always forget what they are and by February back to being the typical lazy ass I tend to be. Instead I'm going more with a style change for myself and my life. Style changes are much better than resolutions because you get to buy clothes.

So, i'm taking control of my image in 2006. After all, image is everything (haha!). But really though:
~I'm vowing to buy more clothes in 2006.
~I'm joining Golds Gym right by my house and I'm looking to go 2-3 times a week, just for anything i'm up for: classes, running, etc.
~I'm vowing to go out more with close to home freinds and have a lot more good times.
~I'm vowing to make 2006 a better year for me careerwise: in color gaurd and in whatever else I will be doing.
~I'm vowing to stop taking so much shit from some people, and yes, being more of a bitch when need be.
~I'm vowing to get what I need done as effieciently as possible.
~I'm vowing that no matter what situation presents itself, I will have a resolution to it.
~I'm vowing that I need to spend more time with my friends all over the place. This may mean less thime for me, but I feel that it is necessary to maintain those bonds.
~I'm vowing to make 2006 not turn out to be like 2005. Odd years tend to be crappy for me so hoepfully the trend will continue.

So yes it seems like a lot, and it is. I just want a lot more meaning to what i'm doing with my life and not just filling it with meaningless nothing and killing time.

Although in retrospect 2005 had its good moments, and plenty of bad. But perhaps i'll save that for another entry. You know, when i return in another month. If i dont talk to anyone in two weeks, good luck at the first show! I'll be seeing everyone at Triton!

Bill

Temporary back in the mix...
01:14pm 16/12/2005

mood: content
music: Fiona Apple - "Across the Universe"
Hey everyone, so yes I am not dead or missing, I am making my temporary return to LJ for now...

SO back story on why I was gone: My work has gone on another binge of blocking sites and I can no longer access LJ from work, which just happens to be my only real main internet access. So I'm sorry if I misse dout on events or what not, but I will try and recap my important events, as well as congradulate those I have heard about (wow that is a really long run on sentance! WHo has time for grammar these days!)

Home:
Things at home are fine. Halloween was a good time, scared a lot of people with my headless horseman costume. We decorated for X-mas 2 weeks ago. Put up the tree and lights and the house is festive for us really not having it all to ourselves jsut yet. Yes thats right folks, the dog is still alive! WTF!!! Anyway, plans for remodeling the living room are already under way and ready to move once we get everything to ourselves.

Work:
THings here are pretty much crap with the whole internet deal. Otherwise I'm getting thru. I am up for a promotion to Special Products Administrator and that may go thru ina few weeks! That is a pay raise, new work, and no more deadlines! SURE!!!!!!!!

Triton:
We had a very successful outdoor season: 5 or 6 Best Auxilliary awards, and the 2nd at ACC's! Now onto indoor: Have a minute of the show done and more to come this weekend. And we are signed up for the WGI Mid Atlantic POWER REGIONAL!!!! EXCITING!!!!!!!! THe first WGI event Triton will go to in 3 years!!! WOOOOO!!!!!!

Social Life:
I dont have much of one right now. Haven;t seen Becca in a few weeks, or anyone else for that matter. It is great to see BW people every weekend though!! I miss everyone, and yes it bothers me sometimes not to march, but it really is the right thing for me to do right now. I still see everyone since they practice at Triton, so that is always great. Best of luck to them, they will have an awesome 40th anniversary season!

Congrats to:
RACHEL HYDE ON MAKING SCV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU GET IS WEST COAST!!!!!!!
I am still awaitning other official answers to make more congradulatory remarks!

Plans:
Well I am planning on taking my parents to DIsney World in May for a really great X-mas gift. Hm, still planning that one out!

Alright thats about it. Hope everyones doing well. I'll be back from time to time....if i can!

Alright so a slight recap of recent events...
10:25am 10/10/2005

mood: Waking up a bit more...
music: Fiona Apple - "O Sailor"
Overall the weekend was pretty 50/50. Like it was crap and pretty alright at the same time.
~Friday night football game was cancelled for te band. Guard stayed for an hour to clean the ending flag work.

~Saturday was a very trying day. Had a guard sectional at 10. Retaped on all of our show flags including the new ones my mom made for the flag line. Then started on cleaning the opener. Got thru that, lunch break, then came back for an all indoor practice. Stayed in the lower gym most of the day and did some more opener and swing flag cleaning. Finally back into the big gym for an indoor rehearsal with the band. Staged everything so it would work appropriately for a stand still. This is where the day got rough. Kids started getting bitchy, people weren't focusing, it was madness. Finally got ready for the show and headed to Clearview in the pouring rain. The show itself was alright, reminscent of indoor. The kids were still calm during warm up, a little better than expected. Warmed up in the wrestling room, then waited 15 minutes for the band to meet up with us. Eventually we just went into the gym and set up on our own, followed by the band a close 30 seconds behind us. The run went pretty well. The band sounded great, the pit was amazingly musical, and the colorguard had a great flag show! Weapons threw up all over themselves on sabre, rifle wasn't so bad, but sabre was just god awful. All in all I was satisfied with the flag show, the cleaning was pretty prominent and that looked good. Watched the rest of the shows with Kevin and Jeremy. I particularly enjoyed Middles Twp's uniforms! Also, Williamstown's guard improved sooooooo much since last year! Michael is definately taking them in the right direction! Hm, cant remember who else I saw, but overall it was nice to see a standstill actually. Went to critique afterwards, talked with Deb the guard judge and Billy who I think was there to judge but there was no visual panel, so I guess he just watched and took notes. Overall, for a show taht didnt count, the band did well and got 2nd and we won Auxillary, Percussion, and Brass? Who knew about that last one! After hanging around a bit, finally headed home with no rain in sight.

~Sunday, this was the nice relaxing day I needed! I woke up late first of all, which was nice. Although, we were going to make sure BW got into Triton alright. But Joe called and asked me how to get in and we got it settled. I wanted tos ee BW people but I needed a day to myself! They will be at Triton plenty of other times so that is fine! Stayed at home, had a great breakfast, and watched "Halloween" and some Harry Potter. Also did a ton of laundry. All in all it was relaxing.

~Today I couldn't wake up. Got to work ontime suprisingly and am kind of just here. I am leaving at 11:30 today adn taking my last paid half day for the year. Today Andy and I are taking Michael to FrightFest. We've beenpromising we would esp after he helped us out with Triton while we were on vacation in San Diego this past summer. Its not the prettyiest day out, but we'll make de. Leaving for that at 12:30.

Misc...
~Our Betta fish Sparticus died this morning. I am saddened...
~My order from Barnes and Noble came in on Friday. I got "The Simpsons Christmas DVD", "Dont Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead" and "The Worst Witch".
~Only 1 hour left of work!
~Planning to kick the weapon lines butts this week at Triton, looking like indoor rehearsals all week.
~Kevin, your story from Shampoo was hilarious! I bet he was GETTIN IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Random Color Guard news:
~Chimeras have officially said they are not fielding a guard this year. One more IW guard down! Its looking more and more like 2003 day by day!

Wow, so a lot has been going on since I updated on Monday. Hm i'll try to hit the major points.

Work has been pretty blah. Things have been busy off and on. Nothing major going on there.

Triton is going well. A few problems in the overall design of the show, including guard. Basically a lot of visual judges are saying its too busy. Thats fine, because they also said its a better position to be in than not being effectful. It jsut seems hard to me, for a show so aggressive and powerful as "On the Waterfront", its hard for e to look at it and not think fast busy work.Meh, in the end it'll just be overall easier on the kids in the end! We finished the show last night. I filled in closer flag work and Andy worked the end of the sabre stuff. Now moving into Thursday its another CHANGE DAY!!! Make sure everything that needs fixing gets done! Saturday show at Clearview!

Well it seems that my aunts dog really might be on the way out. Shes acting much worse, and not really moving around. Not a very nice subject matter to think about, but it does kind of hold back our futures because of it. We'll see what happens.

Miscellaneous:
~I bought the new Fiona Apple album "Extraordinary Machine" yesterday at Target! It is fantastic! If you love the first two, this one is just as great! Gotta love Fiona in the fall!
~I need to get on top of my own shit and call Michael Hope like yesterday!
~Free night tonight, hopefully some time to do laundry and then who knows.

Thats it. Later!

So I haven't updated in quite some time. Things have been busy at work with month end and all. Overall things have just been busy and I have had not time to update. Since September has passed on by and it is not October, I think its time to update.

Home: Overall things are going alright here. We still haven't gotten to paint the other upstairs room yet, but hopefully in the near future before winter hits. We've already begun decorating for Halloween. I'm excited, I love this time of year. This year we are def looking into having some sort of Halloween thing at our palce, kinda like I used to have in High School. Looking forward to having people over for that! Hm, what else. Just got a new couch for the downstairs. It was given to me by one of my great-aunts. Um, well since we dont use the living room that much, and my aunt who is living downstairs does, we'll leave it until something happens with that situation. The dog seems to be holding on, but acting stranger as the days go by. Once she moves out, we'll probably be looking for a 3rd roommate to help cover the new tax costs that just went up in my area. That aside, we already have our living room all IKEA'd out and ready to go, ya know, once we get free space.

Work: Things are going smoothly which is nice to say about this place. We had a very successful month end, and not many late nights. The new girl is working out alright, she talks a lot. Although the whole thing is kinda funny, cause we talk about Marching Band all the time. I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but she was in Overbrooks color guard back in the day. I think she graduated in 96? Anyway, yea so we at least have that to talk about, but she always drags out everything. Ugh....Oh well, better than the other one we had!!! yea, btw, that Nikki girl that worked here nad left on Maternity leave, yea she called and quit last week. Theres a lot more BS behind that story that I just dont want to get into. Good riddence basically...

Triton: The show is coming along very well. We had our Homeshow 2 saturdays ago, that was eh, kinda rough. But this past weekend at the Highland show, the kids pulled through and put on a great show! We unfortunately marched 2 color guard blanks (due to wedding and illness) but they still did very very well! And my props to the weapon line for dealing with such crap lighting!!! So yea, the kids put on a great show, we were all proud of them, and in the end we won our group! Overall we were 3rd in guard, but that is fine, esp with us not being done, and having two blanks and many changes to make, I'm not expecting too much of a repeat of last year. But I'm very glad the new kids are adjusting very well and fitting right into the guard. They all gave it up on Saturday and earned what they got! Other than that, looking into making MANY changes to the ballad, and adjusting sets of work here and there, and finishing the show! I know I said this before, but this time, I really want to have the show fully done for this coming weekend at Clearview!

Random things Andy and I have done over the past 2 weeks:
~Saw a lot of movies at home: Robots, The Cell, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and probably a few others.
~Saw "Corpse Bride" last night in the theaters. Very cute movie! I'm a fan!
~Went to Six Flags for "Season Passes Only" night last Friday. Lines were decent, got on pretty much all the coasters but Kingda Ka, and even rode front car for most of them. Pretty cool experience on Superman, Medusa, and Nitro in the front seat!
~Looking forward to going on Hayrides and such this fall! Hopefully going to: Valley of Fear, Fright Fest, Bates Motel, Hamilton Hauntings and possibly the Eastern State Pennitentery one.
~Andy's finished the 5th Harry Potter book, and I am going to buy him the 6th one today. Also hoping to pick up a cd or two at B&N.
~Went to Hathaways on Friday night and hung out with Becca and co. Good times and great Midori sours!
~Still trying to plan an AC trip! Gotta get it together!
~My stance on marching this winter has not changed. I'm out...
~I'm starting to rethink my whole age-out deal....grrr. I didnt want this to happen, but, um, yea....I'm still thinking it through.

Random color guard news:
(Some of this might be old news, but believe me I've known about it for a bit!)
~New world guard from North NJ? Um, what?
~Empire is no more. At least I liked them the one year they were out.
~Esperanza De Luz is Inactive.
~San Jose is fielding an Open and A guard...not mention of World on their site.
~Just what is going on with The Study? Say it isn't so!
~I remember the last time a ton of world guards folded at one time...that year was 2003....makes me wonder now...

OK thats about it for now. Still thinking over a few things. Gotta get unis finished for the guard for this week, and also gotta get swing flags done. Here's to finishing the show this week!

So this week has indeed been flying by! Its already Thursday, and just when did it become Sept 22 already!? Where has this month gone!!!!

Anyway, lets review just how things have panned out since Friday after work.

Friday - After leaving work, went home for a bit, then finally got things together to head out for the evening. I was laready not feeling weel from the fierce cold I was suffering from, so I was kinda not planning on going to Flatspin. Anyway, Andy and I had a small dinner at Panera, before heading to Hathaways with everyone. Got there around 8 and enjoyed the half hour we spent there. Ugh! THey wanted to get to Flatspin so early, and we finally decided to at least go and check it out. So we went home so Andy could change into reasonable club attire, grabbed bridge money and were off. Well The ride to Flatspin sucked! It took sooooooo much longer to get there than i thought! Finally got there, missed out on the "free admission before 10" deal and had to get money out of the ATM. Not only that, but it was $3 surcharge! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh, so not off to a very good start. Get inside, look around and the place kept my interest for about 20 minutes before I was bored to death. It was only fun being there with the hometown crowd, but even so, it was pretty blah. We left after being there about an hour and headed back to Hathways (I do enjoy this place!). Got some food and Daquiris and headed home.

Saturday - Headed to Triton for practice, and which was just ungodly humid out. Still didnt feel much better from the cold. Triton had a decent rehersal, and I knew the first show was going to just be whatever to get them out on the field for the first time and just do it. Blah blah, not much else, so lets skip to the show. Got there, they had a decent warm up, and it was somewhat relieving that we only had to worry about parts 1 and 2 for the night. Did the ensemble warm up with the band, and headed to the gate. Overall the show wasn't bad, the guard would have had a really good run, if it wasn't for one girl in paritcular who did NOT have it together! All well, it was her first show, i'll give her the benfit of the doubt. After the show, hung around, saw West Deptfords guard and Melissa, waited to see if the show was cancelled or not, then headed inside to do judges tapes. Tapes were pretty blah actually, a lot of people crossing captions.

***MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE TAPE was the music effect judge, when she decided to say that some of the rifle work was not musical, and how the "sabre squad" was not clean and she didnt understand the drill. Um, maybe its jsut me, but shouldn't she be judging music, and how it affects the audience? Cause i'm pretty sure the visual judge had no problems with us, loved the gaurd, and jsut wanted us to be done. Hm, interesting =)

ANYWAY, after listening to the tapes, ANdy and I had a conversation with this guy Mike we had met. He's also a judge, and had known us from Black Watch and knew we were with Triton since last outdoor. I think he teaches Gateway, or has some affiliation with them. Anyway, it was cool, he pointed out a few things with our program that kinda helped us see some different things, which was cool. Def looking at some of that now that we are finishing the show. After that, got sheets, ate some food and left.

Sunday - Had a sectional with the Triton guard to fill in most of the ballad. Also was the BW audition at Triton. I let BW in and made sure they had what they needed and then headed to the sectional. We got a lot accomplished with the guard, about 2/3 of the ballad. Got to hang around the BW audition and see people, and of course that was very nice. Joe wants me to march, Lady wants me to march, and basically everyone wants me to march....I just dont think that can happen. I'm leaving it open as a possibilty, but I just dont think this season can work. Hm...
After the audition on Sunday, we got my moms birthday present: a new leather coat. Headed to my parents, gave that to her, and had a birthday dinner for me and my mom. It was nice to spend some time there after sucha hectice weekend. After that, it was home for some laundry and house stuff.

Monday - Day went by fast at work. Paid my car payment on lunch. Afterwards my parents took me out to get my brithday present. I ended up getting a 20" Flatscreen TV! How awesome! (No not plasma, just flatscreen, and that is fine!!!). Dropped a copy of the Fiona Apple CD off to Becca, and headed home to set up the new TV. It is fantastic!

Tuesday - Work went by fast. Feeling much better from the cold, but now starting coughing up a lot of phlegm and blood. GREAT! After work had Triton, and they had a great practice! Ballad already looks like something and we have a plan in place to finish at least 98% of the show for this weekend!

Wednesday - Day 2 of coughing up blood, not very fun. Ended up leaving work early. Headed home, watched part of a movie, but fell asleep quickly. GOt a lot of sleep yesterday pretty much.

Thursday - Day 3 of coughing up blood, but its much better today! I went to the doctors early this morning and they gave me an antibiotic and cough medicine to keep me from coughing anymore. Came into work at 12:30 today after taking half of a personal day. Hm, not much going on here. Tonight is Triton again. Focuusing more on finishing the show as much as we can for Saturday.

Random thoughts:
~I'm excited for Saturday, esp seeing how much the show is starting to progress. Of course I am just anxious to get the skeleton of the show on the field so we can start with changes!
~Will be seeing Kevin, Erin, Michael H, and Melissa at the Homeshow! Who else will be there?
~I've seen something online about Fiona APples NEW album coming October 2nd! I am all over that!!!
~My "10 Comm..." is going well. Have avoided soda and fast food for the first week, and that is always the hardest! Other than that, once i'm off the antibodies, i'll be starting up the trim spa so I dont snack all day at work.
~"Season Pass Holders Only" special event at Six Flags tomorrow night. Am I going? Hmmmmmmmm...It has been a few weeks!
~Amazon for lunch today. Small Broc and Cheddar soup, and Chocolate NIrvana smoothie...mmmmmm!!!!!!!!!

Ok thats about it for today. Later..

My 21st Birthday was fantastic. My desk was decorated at work ever so wonderously by Monica. Andys gifts were quite awesome; dinner at Chilis was a blast (even though some screw ups did occur.) Thanks to Diana for the gift card! Old Navy is such a plus!! Lori and Dan, its really alright! Its only a card! I'll se you tonight anyhow! =) Much love to all of my home town friends that came out! I had my first legal drink, a Tropical Sunrise Margarita and I must say it was quite good! Much thanks to Becca for covering that! Had a wonderful dinner (thanks to Andy) and headed home, where Andy had an Ice Cream cake waiting for me. I haven't had that in a whiiiiiiiile...Overall, quite a memorable time!

Thursday went well. Day went by fast at work and Triton had a decent rehersal. Kind of rushed to get things done for Saturday, but i am conifdent in what the CG has right now. I want what they have to look as good as it can be, before we add more of the show come their sectional on Sunday!

Today work is going by at about the pace of a fast goat. What that means, i'm not sure, but today hasn't seemed long or short. I am however getting sick again, and that is so not cool! I took Nyquil last night and felt much better come morning. I will take it again tonight and see what happens! This of course interferes with my plans to go to Hathaways tonight, but it should be fine. Still looking forward to some Friday night fun there. Too bad I'm passing on Flatspin for tonight. I just cant be out all night with the way I feel right now.

OOH! And I also got my new digital drivers liscense today! Too bad that and the registartion cost me freakin $80!!!

Everyone is slowly leaving here at work, it makes me want to leave 15 min early just because. Hmmm...

OH! And I got my Ipod working and it is awesome! I am loving this right now!

Um, yea that'd be it. Weekend outlook:

Tonight - Hathaways
Saturday - West Deptford show
Sunday - Triton practice, BW auditions (all in the same place so i'll be bouncing back and forth!)
Sunday night - Mom's b-day

Somwhere in there I need to buy her a b-day present. Hmmm.

Ugh, this Wawa Lemonade Tea is all that is getting me thru today, I swear!

Hm, I think i'll get to see Julie this weekend, if she is still teaching Overbrook! WOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright I'm out for the weekend! If you are going to the WD show, SEE YOU THERE!!!!!!!!

Alright, so here it is, my personal 10 Commandments now that I am 21. I'm going to be using this as my guideline from now on to help me achive my desired results for my life from Sept 14, 2005 on...

Ten Commandments of Being 21

1) Thou shalt not drink soda. I am to keep soda intake down to an absolute minimum. This is increasingly difficult with the new release of Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper, but i need to manage. This means substituting drink for Iced Teas, Lemonades, etc. But absolutely need to cut off soda.

2) Thou shalt keep away from unhealthy food choices. I am going to force myself to stay away from fast food mainly. I am also going to eat much healthier, which means more dinners out at Amazon Cafe and Subway. McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, etc, will be eliminate from my poissible dinner choices from now on, and I will look for healthier alternatives.

3) Thou shalt not eat when bored. I am getting sick of eating while i'm bored at work. To aid this I am looking into a dietary supplement (Trim Spa, Ripped Fuel) to help me get thru the day without eating so many little snacks.

4) Thou shalt limit oneself when consuming alcohol. I know I just started being able to drink legally, but I am limiting myself already due to immense calorie intake from alcohol. The limit will be 1 mixed drink per outing, if at all. Luckily for me I already don't like beer, and am over the whole "taking shots" thing. My selection is already narrowed down to anything sour or frozen.

5) Thou shalt keep physically fit. Using different means of doing so, I want to stay more physically fit. Pilates (with or without the Triton guard) will be required at least twice a week. Also, if able to do so financially, will be looking into a gym membership.

6) Thou shall lose 20 pounds. So with the help of the aforementioned rules, I am looking to lose about 20 pounds and be back where I was during BW 04. It will and must happen.

7) Thou shalt create savings. I will be putting away SOMETHING (minimum of $100) every paycheck into my new savings account. Whether this savings account will go towards marching my age out, a possible DisneyWorld Vacation, or another venture of choice, I need to make saving a priority.

8) Thou shalt not waste money on frivilous objects. Ok this one will be hard, but I'd day I'm at a point where my DVD collection satisfy's me. There will always be new movies coming out, but I am done building the collection. I am going to start putting my money towards much more useful things, including items for the house, etc.

9) Thou shalt pay off all minor debts. I want to get my life organized enough to where I can pay off minor debts and get them off my mind. I need to pay off BW, which is getting smaller as the months go on, so that is good. I am focusing in on paying off my stupid student loans from 1 year at UD, as well as paying off my credit card. With commandments eight and nine, I will be able to achieve this much more stongly.

10) Thou shalt finish what I started. This includes many things that I need to get my ass in gear for. It means not procrastinating on certain things (like getting my laptop fixed) and not putting off appointments such as eye doctor, etc. Also I need to get myself into a college mode again and get things together with school. I at least want to finish up to an Associates degree, which is very achievable at this point. I need to make it happen.

music: "Turn the Beat Around" stuck in my head...
So on my lunch break, I'm coming back to the office from Panera and am flipping thru the stations. A stroke of luck must have happened, cause when I turned to B101, it was none other than Gloria Estefans "Turn the Beat Around" and I could ONLY imagine a twirl routine to this! So of course I had to blast it, and it made me laugh thinking about how fun that was during indoor. Thanks to the both of you for getting me thru some rough rehersal times with that, DDG and Lorraine quotes!

Oh and you bet you'll see me around on Sunday!

mood: excited
music: Armaand Van Helden - "Hear my Name"
And thus, I am legal....

So with that, today has been alright so far. Andy gave me my presnets last night because I was so impatient =) And this is a review of what I have gotten:

1) A silver Mini-Ipod! I was so thinking how out of the times I was yesterday at work cause i didnt have one. Well what a suprise this was!!!
2) A collection of 4 of Charles Dickens greatest novels: Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, Hard Times, and A Christmas Carol.
3) 2006 Simpsons mini calender from B&N.
4) $20 from my Aunt who lives in Burlington.

Yay! Fun times. Of course I realize now being as old as I may be, gifts aren't such the big thing. My parents asked me what they should get me, and I didnt know! Really $$ is a big need right now, so i'm not sure. I think they still dont have any idea at this point either! Maybe I'll just tell them a gift card. Those always work.

Anyway, here at work, my desk was decorated when I came in this morning. How cute! Monica did an awesome job! Although my party at work is delayed due to Frank, my supervisor is not here this week. We share the same birthday so we are doing a combined thing on Monday.

Tonight is Chilis with the home town gang. Also gotta stop by my parents at some point and get my birth certificate, so I can get my new license this week. Stupid 6 point system!

Revised schedule for the rest of the week:

Wednesday - Dinner with Riverside peeps at Chilis, over to the parents for whatever time.
Thursday - Triton
Friday - Renew license and registration, going to Hathaways with Becca that night. And something about Flatspin? What?!
Saturday - First show and rehersal with Triton @ West Deptford
Sunday - Sectional with Triton, BW audition, time at parents for Moms B-day
Monday - Time to relax? What?!

Alright gotta get back to work. It is pouring outside, and I need to go to Panera for my lunch, and then come back to work on, what i'd like to call, The 10 Commandments of Being 21 that i'm creating for myself. A sort of plan of action starting today! Alright later!

music: "Am I On Your Mind" - Best of Trance Vol 4
Alright, not much time til the end of the work day so i'll make this one fast:

~Last night Andy made an awesome dinner: Barbeque Baked Chicken! Fantastic! Watched a whole lot of the 2 Open class DVD's I got from Wildwood '04 and '05. Designed some flags for indoor, relaxed watching "The Sweetest Thing", crashed at 10:30.

~Today at work has gone by very quickly thank god. I've sent myself away to the work room for the day to do some archiving. It helps the time pass.

~Tonight is Triton practice. Hoping what we did Saturday carries over with the new people. Also hoping to fill in opening dance, and finish the sabre book. That will put us at 2/3 of the show done for the first show this weekend. Hoping to have a full show for the Home Show the following week.

~T-Minus 7 hour 15 minutes until it is officially Sept 14th and I am officially 21. I feel no difference now, but i am starting to create a plan of attack on how to make my year of being 21 awesome and not as sucky as being 20.

That is all...

So not a whole lot to update on really. I'll start from Friday and go forth, since I dont know what else to really update.

Friday night we had Tritons first football game at Moorestown HS. Well the band was running late, and we had limited warm up time. Thank god we're performing limited show =) Went out there, did the pre-game show. Eh, it was ok. The guard got off 2 counts in the opener, by they held together. Somthing to work on ensembly. Rifles were pretty alright, despite timing in certain areas, flag line held together decently. Sabres in part 4 were ok, the messiest of any section, but it was expected. After the perfromance, got things together and headed to Walmart for a few items. The rest of the night was pretty much downtime.

Saturday was a busy day overall. First things, we had a sectional with Triton for 4 hours. It was a great rehersal! We cleaned up parts 1 & 2 a lot!!!!!!! Filled in any necessary parts and called it a day. One of the girls parents bought pizza for everyone, since it was her birthday the next day. Following practice, we got gas, and headed to Bennigans for a small lunch. Then it was off to the Marlton AMC to see "The Brothers Grimm". The week before we had seen "The Skeleton Key" at this theater. It is an ok theater, decently priced, and we always bring our own food to save $$. A mini review is you will:

"The Skeleton Key" - I saw this Labor Day weekend. I liked the movie overall, it had a great mood and setting, and there was a lot of good things about it.; Scary, kind of adventerous, but i was expecting it to be scarier. Also the ending leaves you kind of "Eh".

"The Brothers Grimm" - I liked this movie a lot. Different than I had expected, but I liked it anyway. I was expecting much more of a horror movie than action. Still, i thought it was creative. The movie makes Matt Damon look veyr unattractive (not that I am a fan to begin with) but suprisingly I thought Heath Ledger was cute (scruffiness aside). I think he just looks better with short hair.ANyway back to the story. Its a pretty fun movie to watch, esp with all of the old fairy tales incorporated into the movie.

After the movie, headed home for some food. Then I was off that night to go to Rob's for a little get together with everyone. Headed over around 8:30. Got there, talked with Lori, Dan and Becca for a while. Finally we headed next door to this persons place who had just moved in. They were having a party so we hung there for a hile. Diana finally showed up, and we also ran into this guy we went to HS with named Joe. It was interesting to see him again. I had remembered having my French II class with him (he was 2 years above all of us), and he was always hilarious. Quite an interesting taste in music as well: very into Spice Girls, Bjork, some classical and opera stuff, as well as being a hard core metal head. Anyway, overall a fun night. Got home around 1:30 am.

Sunday was spent catching upon things around the house. Went to Walmart with mom and Andy, where i got some food supplies, and Andy got a sewing machine. Spent the rest of the day watching some movies, showing my mom Tritons past 2 indoor shows (from when I started there) and laundry. Also watch "Star Gate" and attempted watching some movie called "Immortal".

Today is rather boring. I've STOPPED eating extra food to cut down on intake and ya know, generally gaining weight. Working in an office is not good for your metabolism. So i've been fighting the urges to cure boredom with eating. Tonight is a relaxed night before the week gets VERY busy:

Tuesday - Triton
Wednesday - My 21st Birthday! Dinner with friends at Chilis!
Thursday - Triton
Friday - Possible football game @ Triton
Saturday - Practice and First show for Triton.
Sunday - Triton Sectional/BW audition & Mom's birthday/Combined birthday party at parents.

Later!

Fantastic 3 Day Weekend!!!!!!
04:12pm 06/09/2005

mood: busy
music: Mozart - Symphony #25 in G Minor
So this past weekend was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!! Well aside from having a mild cold and all. Had such great times in WIldwood and even at home, the 3 day weekend proved to be a great relaxation time! Lets recap:

Friday
~Left work, picked up Andy, went to Commerce Bank, opened a savings account, went to my parents, talked about hurricane news, and headed home. Relaxed a bit, packed and were on our way to Wildwood!
~Stopped for gas at the Texaco by my house, got gas at a LOW $3 a gallon. The rest of the ride was rather uneventful. Andy read about half of the trip, I was thinking of why gas companies suck.
~Got to Wildwood somewhere around 10:30 pm. Dropped our stuff in the house, and headed over to this bar everyone was at. (And yes I was able to get into this bar, being all underage still).
~Got to the bar and saw everyone that was staying the weekend: Becca, Rob, Lori, Dan, Diana, Eric, Kimmah, and Casey. We hung there for a while catching up on random stuff, they drank, Andy and I hung back a bit.
~Ended up leaving the bar, headed to the house. Rob humped Dan and I have photographs to prove the event! Some people changed, and we were on our way to bar #2.
~Well bar #2 seemed to be carding, so we split up. The majority went to the bar, while Andy, Diana, Kimmah and I went to the boardwalk. Just as we got to the boardwalk, they called, said they only wanted to have 1 beer and leave. F That! We just got to the boadwalk and were staying a while!
~We checked out the piers, while Kimmah and Diana got stuff pierced. Kim got second holes in her ear lobes, and then Diana got her Cartliedge. Well, she didnt realize her choice wasn't good, since she got it on the side that shes blind in that eye! Got Kohrs Bros Ice cream and headed back to the bar.
~One of us had to go inside and collect the rest of them. kim was denied entrance to the bar since she didnt have a drivers liscense. "So you mean I cant go in a bar cause I cant drive? That doesnt make any sense!" Haha, so after some deliberation on whether they can accept state ID's, the bar was wrong and let her in. Got everyone together, witnessed a fight between a man and woman outside the bar, and then walked back to the house.
~Beer pong was set up, and people started crashing around 2:30 am.

Saturday
~Slept in a good long time.
~Everyone got things together for a day at the beach. Took somewhere about 3 hours for everyone to get ready!
~Basically it broke down like this: The girls went to the beach, The Boys went to the boardwalk. Although Andy and I took a detour to see a light house on the other end of the island. This place had beatiful gardens surrounding it, very romantic indeed.
~Hit the boardwalk, bought wristbands to do all the rides. Got to do a whole lot more than I would on a winterguard based Wildwood weekend which was great. Went on the Great Noreaster, Sea Serpent, and Great White. Did all of the haunted houses: Dantes Dungeon, Jersey Junkyard, Pirates of Wildwood, and Curse of the Mummy. Did some smaller rides as well. Loved the huge ferris wheel. Also went into the Boardwalk mall, found The Simpsons arcade machine that was broken in May and played it for a good hour! Andy was Marge and I was Lisa. We made it pretty far, but after spending $2, we finally realized we shouldn't spend much more money on it.
~Won Andy a Stitch doll at a Water Race game. Yup! Still got it!!!!
~Andy bought some postcards, and then we headed to mett up with everyone else who was coming to the boardwalk.
~Had a crappy dinner at Sorrento's. Andy's calzone was crap!!! Becca fought with the waitress cause she screwed up the check! Ugh, drama!
~The girls had a go at the Test Your Strength thing. Hilarious!!!!!!!!
~Finally decided to get a group book of tix and do some rides. We lucked out and saved money by already having wristbands.
~First. ride was the Condor. Andy, Lori, Dan and I went on this one. Lori had a mild panic attack cause of how high it went! Eep!
~Second was the Tilt-A-Whirl. This was a group effort from everyone but Casey. This was the craziest time I've have ever been on this! We were making that thing spin like crazy! So much fun on that!
